This is a thing going on and I’m wondering why I’ve barely seen anything on it anywhere. Have some new cars.

I really wish I could be interested in IMSA. I love watching Daytona and Sebring, although I still think Daytona/all rovals are busch league. But aside from those two races it’s too inconsistent. Race lengths vary by several hours, sometimes certain classes don’t show up and depending on the race there are 4/3/2 drivers per car. Races less than 3 hours are dumb for an “endurance” championship, it makes them feel like exhibition races and having 2 drivers for a race that’s less than 3 hours is also dumb.

Car brands aside, there aren’t any recognizable names or personalities aside from maybe the Taylors, and open wheel drivers that do one-offs in the big races.

The new prototypes are cool and it’s great to see GTD/GT3 continue to grow, but outside of the Patron Cup it’s just too messy to follow.

I was there today. The new Dpi cars are very cool.
